Will you accept the Huntington Games challenge?
Step up and experience this high-intensity wellness and team building competition. Through a series of fitness events, Boston’s top teams will go head to head to see who has the skills to win the coveted Huntington Cup.
This year, the competition will be stronger than ever, because we’re asking you to make your own challenge…Sign your company up to sponsor the games and then challenge your closest friends—or industry rivals—to join you! When they accept, they get to challenge another team until our roster is full.
In addition to delivering a fun and fierce athletic competition, your sponsorship of Huntington Games supports America’s First Y - the Huntington Avenue YMCA - which promotes youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility to over 10,000 Bostonians each year.
Your sponsorship supports transformational YMCA programs like “Teen Achievers” which helps Boston teens discover and pursue higher education and career goals by equipping them with the skills and community role models they need.
Is your team up for the challenge? Sign up below, make your challenge, and then join us on March 15, 2019 from 2pm to 5pm. It will be a great time and a great workout that will make an enormous difference in the lives of the members of our community who need it most.
There will be five stations set up throughout the Huntington Avenue YMCA. Each team will participate in all five stations with a different challenge at each station.
Points will be awarded for the following events:
Points will be awarded to each of the top 5 spinners according to the highest RPM reading on their stationary bike.
Each participant will take a mini yoga class followed by 3 tests: Tree Pose for Balance, Warrior 3 for Strength, and Forward Fold for Flexibility.
Each participant will complete 3 strength/cardio circuits within the allotted 20 minutes. Points will be awarded according to the number of rounds performed.
Challenges include sack races, dizzy bat races, basketball shots and relay races.
Groups will be split into 2 teams at this station. Points will be awarded to everyone on the winning team of each game within the allotted time frame.
Opportunities for additional team points include CEO participation, additional employees attending as “pep squad”, volunteerism, and attending reception.
